Rock Hill Estate Residence
Middleburg, Virginia
This project serves as one of several residences for a client who was instrumental in the airline industry. Working with landscape architect Meade Palmer, FASLA, the firm created a 200-acre deer park estate for a 24k SF English Georgian mansion. The residence successfully integrates French and English influences while providing spacious rooms for formal entertaining and enjoyment of the surrounding countryside.
The residence provides several bedroom suites on the first and second floors, including an extensive master bedroom suite with separate baths and dressing rooms. The first floor plan contains several public rooms with ample circulation for large parties. The basement houses a wine room, exercise room, sauna, and storage/services.
The estate includes extensive formal gardens in addtion to ponds, follies, swimming pool, tennis court, pool house, garage for a classic Jaguar collection, farming equipment storage, and a small office building.
