Lehrman Residence
Washington, DC
This project serves as the residence of a client who approached the firm with very specific requirements to house a collection of Hudson Valley paintings and Regency period art and antiques. A place for entertaining and a home that is both comfortable and warm were also requested by the client.
Chatelain Architects designed a 17k SF residence on a three-quarter-acre site in northwest Washington, DC. The approach was inspired by the houses of John Russell Pope and Washington's own Caoloram historic district. The residence is a blend of spacious formal rooms and elegant private rooms, each with access to terraces, private gardens, and park land.
