School of St. Jude
Arusha, Tanzania
Chatelain Architects began the master planning and prototype design process in March 2007. In January 2008, the new campus opened with dorms, classrooms, dining hall, administration/library, music, art, and play areas for 700 students in grades 1-7. This feat was accomplished through excellent direction and coordination by a unified Design Team of planner, architect, owner, and contractor.
In March 2011, Chatelain Architects revisited the campus to start the Master Plan for Phase II. School of St. Jude focuses on providing free education to the poorest children who demonstrate high proficiency for learning.
