Stanford in Washington
Washington, DC
Stanford University required renovations and additions to its 34k SF Woodley Park campus, a process which included a one-year approval procedure from DC Historic Preservation Review Board and DC Board of Zoning Adjustment. The scope of work included an art gallery, distance learning center, library & study, lounge, new dorm rooms, and new kitchen and dining rooms.
Services included a Feasibility Study, Zoning Analysis & Approval, Historic Preservation Approval, Complete A/E Design, and Renovation of existing facility.
Special consideration was taken to restore the historic storefront and the design of the urban streetscape. At the same time, efforts were made to expand the university's existing program and to insure direct communication with it California campus within the Distance Learning Center.
