Hill School DormitoriesPottstown, PennsylvaniaThe Hill School Dell Road Dormitories consist of a 4-building 30k SF girl's dormitory complex on a tiered site, completing the fourth side of a residential quad. Each building includes common rooms, double bedrooms, and laundry facilities. One building is designated a Faculty Family Townhouse. Services included Programming, Feasibility Studies, Master Plan Modifications, Complete A/E Design, Interior Design & Furnishings, and Landscape Design. The dormitory complext provides a secure environment for the students while maintaining a separation with the faculty residence. The overall design establishes a "family setting" that fosters a sense of community and the design is adapted to its historic context. The Hill School Dell Road Dormitories received the 2001 Design Excellence Award from the American School & University Magazine. |
